Lee Scratch Perry, BBKing, 9/10/2011

Last night I managed to catch the end of Lee Scratch Perry’s show at BBKing. Perry is charismatic and his musicians are excellent. Interesting that many people are smoking pot inside BBKing, of course in the middle of Times Square. Perry was signing autographs while he was still half performing. Perry’s hair is pink and he wears countless pins, usually gold like. Perry icon of the dub and reggae scene? It was surprising that not more people showed up then.
